Where are the most common places that mold CAN GROW?
Mold is found in many places in your home. The most common areas are:
- Basement – Mold grows best on wet surfaces, so basements and crawl spaces are more likely to grow mold than other parts of your home. If you have a crawl space, you should also look for signs of water damage there.
- Bathroom – The humidity level in bathrooms is ideal for mold growth because they contain moisture from showers, baths, and sinks. If you see mold on your bathroom walls or ceiling, it may come from the ventilation system or condensation from above.
- Kitchen – Moisture often builds up under kitchen sinks due to leaks or condensation, which could lead to mildew forming over time if left unchecked until the source has been corrected!
